6 Secrets to Selling Your Home

Secret 2 | Right Pricing
Inventories are low. Supply and demand would dictate that you can sell your home at a higher price. Except, you can’t, at least not initially. Buyers will not be interested in a home that is overpriced. Consult with your realtor on the value of your home and price it competitively just below value. You will be amazed by the volume of interest and even and may experience bidding above list price. This is a top strategy for selling a home today – it means stepping out of your comfort zone with pricing but can be well worth it.

Secret 3 | Get Rid of all Your Stuff
Show the capacity of space in closets, cabinets, shelving, tabletops, countertops by cleaning out and putting away all the extras. Do the same with photos and any personal items throughout the home. This will make spaces seem so much bigger and brighter and will enable the homebuyer to imagine themselves having room to live in your home.

Secret 4 | Hire the Right Realtor
There are so many aspects to ensuring you have the right Realtor: integrity, accomplished experience, market knowledge, ability to sell, negotiate and close and in depth knowledge of your neighborhood and town, resources, and social media marketing skills are some of the primary considerations – don’t short yourself on this important decision.

Secret 5 | Showing Availability
Restricting days and hours for realtor access to show your home can be the difference between you getting an offer – or your neighbor. Today, everyone’s time is limited. The more flexible you are, the more apt and enthusiastic realtors will be to show your home – because limiting your schedule is limiting!

Secret 6 | Paint Splash
Massive renovations or makeovers do not render a profitable ROI. A clean coat of paint on the walls will provide light and freshness to your home. This is by far a great investment in selling your home. Try to use neutral colors, there are so many new neutrals on the market today including taupe and gray tones that are very attractive. Steer away from all white.
